Limited to 500 pieces the Mark XVIII Edition “HODINKEE" has a 39mm case and is made entirely of Ceratanium, a proprietary material IWC Schaffhausen has developed over the course of five years. Ceratanium begins as a unique titanium alloy containing zirconium oxide; when heated, the zirconium oxide hardens into a ceramic crust that is fused to the case. The color turns matte black, and the end result is a watch light like titanium, but with the scratch resistance and durability of ceramic.
